PRN Certified Surgical Technologist

PRN: Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist No Weekends, No Call, No Holidays About the Role The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for departmental functions in support of the facility’s mission and goals. They establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while working with leadership in achieving safety, quality, customer service, and financial objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Independent decision‑making skills – ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed Excellent customer service skills – must be a team player and communicate with patients, employees, and medical staff Advocate of patient safety and quality of care Required Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent Licensure: Completion of an appropriate surgical technology program Experience: Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred Certification: BLS required Good command of the English language, both verbal and written Positive attitude and willingness to learn What We Offer Competitive wages Opportunities to advance your career 401(k) retirement plan Employee Assistance Program USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
