Manager - AI Engagement & Adoption - New York City (Hybrid)

This role is responsible for driving firmwide adoption and engagement of AI tools by turning AI strategy into scalable programs, training, communications, and change-management initiatives that help attorneys effectively integrate AI into their daily work. The position serves as the operational lead for AI enablement, building user communities, measuring adoption, promoting responsible use, and partnering across legal, compliance, product, and AI teams to maximize impact. Pursuant to New York regulation, the annual salary range for this position is $190,000 to $230,000, contingent on relevant experience and education, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operationalize the strategy: Take the engagement and adoption strategy set by the Director of AI Integration & Enablement and make it real — translating it into concrete programs, schedules, owners, and measurable milestones across practice groups and offices. Communities & networks: Build and run the core communities and networks — practice-group champions, user groups, and forums that share use cases, prompts, and best practices and sustain momentum between launches. Adoption programming: Operationalize adoption programming as it is developed internally — training curricula, an ‘AI academy’-style program, demos, office hours, onboarding workflows, and supporting materials calibrated to different practices and skill levels — taking over standard sessions from the Applied AI Counsel, who retains advanced and bespoke training. Claude enablement: Serve as the day‑to‑day enablement resource for the firm’s enterprise Microsoft CoPilot and Anthropic Claude deployment — onboarding attorneys, curating prompt and project libraries, and translating new Claude capabilities (projects, connectors, agentic workflows) into practical attorney guidance. Future-of-work change management: Lead the change‑management work that brings the firm into next‑generation engagement and adoption — helping attorneys adopt new habits and ways of working as part of the firm’s future of work. Engagement campaigns: Drive engagement across practice groups by collecting and highlighting lawyer testimonials, effective use cases, and high‑value moments at key matter milestones. Communications: Own internal communications for the AI Office — launch messaging, release notes, newsletters, and leadership updates — that build momentum and set realistic expectations. Metrics & feedback loop: Define and track adoption and engagement metrics; gather user feedback systematically and route it back to the applied‑AI and product seats to guide iteration. Responsible‑use enablement: Partner with the Office of the General Counsel and Compliance so training and guidance embed governance and responsible‑use requirements — adoption and compliance move together. Cross‑role interplay: Coordinate continuously with the applied‑AI and product seats so engagement work is sequenced with what is being built, approved, and deployed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; makes technical tools approachable for attorneys. Change‑management expertise and the ability to influence behavior and build sustained habits. Program‑operations discipline — turns strategy into running programs with owners, timelines, and metrics. Data‑driven approach to measuring and improving adoption. Strong relationship‑building and the credibility to engage senior attorneys; energy for community‑building and storytelling. Collaborative orientation across the applied‑AI and product seats.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

J.D. from an accredited law school required. A practicing or former practicing attorney — actual legal practice experience (not solely legal‑adjacent roles) is required for credibility with attorneys.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Anthropic Claude products — Claude for Enterprise, Claude projects and connectors, and/or Claude Code / agentic workflows — including designing prompts, projects, or workflows for professional users. 5+ years in change management, learning & development, legal‑technology training, adoption/enablement, or a related field, ideally in a law firm or professional‑services environment. Demonstrated success operationalizing adoption of new tools or ways of working at scale across a professional audience. Experience designing and delivering training and community programs to attorneys; familiarity with the broader legal AI tool landscape
