Production Operator - 2nd Shift

United States, South Carolina, Travelers Rest Responsible for operation and maintenance of preparing tools for grit applications and plating. Receives, assembles, electroplates, and disassembles abrasive grit, cutting and grinding tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

Receives work orders into the bar code system. Read and reviews work orders/blueprints for required specifications. Assembles parts and prepares for electroplating. Makes and/or reviews charts for electroplating per customer specifications. Electroplates parts with nickel bond and abrasive grits. Check parts continuously during plating process. Disassemble parts and performs quality assurance inspections using precise measuring instruments; boroscope, wet chemistry techniques and visual acuity. Maintains accurate records and logs of processes, materials and results. Job Responsibility: The following duties will be performed by the successful candidate: Review work order instructions and blueprint specifications. Determine appropriate set up based on order requirements, and schedule. Responsible for product flow through plating area to meet required deadlines. Maintain accurate records and logs of processes, materials and results. Follow company policies as outlined in Employee Handbook, Health & Safety Manual and Emergency Response Plan. Adhere to Quality Policy and Standard Operating Procedures. Other assigned duties and cross training as determined by business conditions and supervision.
