Within the Gastroenterology Department, the Unit Charge Nurse will lead within a streamlined ambulatory surgery center specializing in endoscopy and same-day procedural care. Additional responsibilities include reinforcing sterile technique and scope reprocessing standards, optimizing room utilization, supporting quality metrics such as on-time starts and discharge efficiency, and leading team huddles that strengthen communication, accountability, and collaboration among outpatient surgical staff.
