Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR Nurse will provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves supporting surgical teams efficiently and maintaining patient safety throughout the operative process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure infection control standards in the operating room.
• Circulate and assist during various surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, spine, urology, OB/GYN, and plastics.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
• Document all perioperative care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA RN licensure with Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• AHA or ARC-certified BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR circulating experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility.
• Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, spine, urology, OB/GYN, and robotics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of standards of care, pharmacology, and patient assessment.
