Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Philadelphia, PA | Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 38,000 patients annually
• Assess, triage, and manage a diverse patient population at a 4–5 patient-per-nurse ratio, including hallway capacity of up to 6 additional stretchers
• Support stroke care protocols as part of a designated Primary Stroke Center utilizing virtual neurology services
• Stabilize walk-in trauma patients and coordinate appropriate transfers to higher-level care facilities as needed
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Operate unit equipment including B. Braun IV pumps, Philips monitors, EKG machines, point-of-care devices, bedside bladder scanners, and Ceribell rapid EEG devices

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Proficiency in EPIC charting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with B. Braun IV pumps and point-of-care lactic and glucometer devices
• Experience with Philips monitoring systems and EKG machines
• Prior exposure to rapid EEG devices or advanced neurological monitoring tools
• Experience in a high-volume emergency setting with stroke or trauma patient populations
