Project Accountant

The Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the project team by providing job reports, project billings, investing variances, managing all accounting functions for the assigned projects, and any other duties related to the project. The key skill sets a project accountant possess are communication, detail oriented, problem solving, analytical, reconciling, and time management. Duties/Responsibilities: Set up estimates and AIA contracts Issue subcontracts and purchase orders Obtain and review all insurance certificates and bonds from all subcontractors Prepare and file Notices of Commencement (NOC) for projects Analyze and input all subcontractor billings into Timberscan software Examine and process all credit card expenses Prepare a monthly billing package to the owner with all required documentation Process subcontractor and owner change orders Managing and releasing subcontractor payments by ensuring proper documentation is collected Provide monthly job cost reports to the project team Prepare project closeout reports and documentation Update Insurance certificate from subcontractors Acquire bonds for projects when required Get COI to owners from FRS – additional insured Maintain Notice of Furnishing Any other duties needed to help achieve the FRS Vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by the organization’s values Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or five years of construction experience in payables Qualifications/Skills Desired: Current Notary Public Knowledge of the Software: Sage 300; Timberline; QuickBooks; Bluebeam or Adobe #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
