Position Description Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Melbourne, FL – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. We are looking for a candidate with a clean driving record and forklift and technology experience. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Pay and Schedule Hourly Pay: $17.65 per hour Schedule: First Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks. Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.). Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production. Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Clean driving record and a personal vehicle; ability to travel within the area approximately 25‑50% of the day. Strong technical aptitude, including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS system. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and work both indoors and outdoors. Valid forklift operator’s license. One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to collaborate within a diverse work environment. Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record. High degree of initiative and a strong focus on accuracy under pressure. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
