About the Position

NAVIX Diagnostix is seeking an experienced General Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team in Needham, MA. 

 

We are seeking professionals with demonstrated experience in general ultrasound or one of the following specialty combinations:

• General Ultrasound & Breast
• General Ultrasound & Vascular

In this role, you will utilize high-frequency sound waves to produce diagnostic images and related clinical data that assist physicians in rendering accurate medical diagnoses while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and image quality.

Working closely with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with NAVIX and client protocols while exercising sound clinical judgement and delivering exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

1. Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and select the appropriate transducer for each study
2. Obtain, review, and retrieve pertinent patient history, physical examination findings, and supporting clinical information
3. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with NAVIX and client protocols
4. Assess and evaluate ultrasound images and related clinical data to support accurate physician interpretation
5. Provide technical findings to the interpreting physician, as appropriate
6. Complete technical documentation, billing requisitions, physician orders, and other required paperwork accurately and timely
7. Maintain ultrasound equipment, supplies, and testing areas while promptly reporting equipment concerns
8. Ensure patient and employee safety by following company policies, procedures and protocols
9. Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care

 

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program 
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience performing:
  • General Ultrasound & Breast or
  • General Ultrasound & Vascular
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical quality
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high clinical standards

 

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of diagnostic ultrasound experience
• Strong computer skills and documentation studies

Position Details

Location: Needham, MA

Schedule:  

• Full-Time: Four 10-hour weekday shifts
• Part-Time and Per Diem: Flexible scheduling opportunities available
• Additional scheduling details, including shift availability and any on-call expectations, will be discussed during the interview process
