Pay: $23.00-$32.00 per hour (Based on weld test, experience, and interview performance)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our growing team in Bradenton, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience performing high-quality MIG welding on steel components in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. This position requires someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can read blueprints, and consistently produces quality welds while maintaining production goals and safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and fabricated metal assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and shop specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measure, cut, tack, fit, and assemble components according to specifications.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance standards are met.
• Use hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Work collaboratively with fabrication, production, and quality teams.
• Meet daily production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
• Ability to pass an on-site weld test.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
• Experience reading blueprints, fabrication drawings, and tape measurements accurately.
• Ability to perform welds in various positions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with stainless steel and structural steel fabrication.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
• Experience in a fast-paced production or custom fabrication environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
