PA - Cardiology

Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a full time, experienced physician assistant (PA-C) or nurse practitioner (APRN) to join our cardiology team in St. Petersburg, FL.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited APRN or PA school
• Licensed in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Board Certified
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification
• Basic EKG course required
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)

Responsibilities:

• Help to improve positive outcomes for your patients as a PA or APRN for the Valve Clinic
• Present clinical findings at multidisciplinary team
• Ensure patients meet NCD guidelines for treatment and order all required testing pre and post procedure
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plan and procedure, medication instructions pre and post procedure
• Administer treatments in accordance with protocols (APRN's can order medication based and do treatments on the protocols they are credentialed for)
• Customer service skills to all that we serve Physicians, co-workers, patients and family
