Service TechnicianHiFyve is hiring a Service Technician in the Heavy Equipment industry in Davenport, IA!Salary: $30–$37/hr + Company Service TruckShift: Day ShiftLocation: Davenport, IAEducation Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical school training preferredValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain DOT Medical CertificationKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systemsProven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities on heavy equipmentAbility to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematicsWelding and general fabrication skillsProficiency with electrical and hydraulic test equipmentStrong communication skills with the ability to explain repairs to customers and supervisorsSolid understanding of equipment operation across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy equipmentPerform standard repairs on drive-train, engine hydraulic, A/C, suspension, steering, braking, and material handling systemsSource and order parts as needed to complete repairsPerform field repairs on mobile equipment independently, without direct supervisionWeld, braze, and fabricate/modify parts and structures as neededDocument repair complaints, causes, and corrections in writingMaintain a strong sense of urgency to ensure customer satisfactionComply with all applicable DOT requirements and company safety proceduresWillingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededWillingness to travel and work remotely, including overnight staysPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write, and hear throughout shiftContinuously lift/carry up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 20 lbs; occasionally 21–75 lbsContinuously push/pull up to 50 lbs; frequently up to 75 lbs; occasionally 76–100 lbsAbility to work in both shop and field environments, including extreme hot and cold outdoor conditionsPreferred Experience:Experience with Volvo construction equipment a plusExperience with paving equipment a plus HiFyve
