Fiber Optic Technician

Position Summary As a fiber optic technician, you will be responsible for the terminating, splicing, testing and documenting of all fiber optic cable types with the end goal of providing maximum operating efficiency. Requirements High school diploma or GED Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fiber splicing and testing and/or structured cabling Ability to read, write, and understand English, Spanish is a plus Ability to distinguish color codes Ability to pass background and drug testing Skills and Attributes Understanding of fiber cabling types Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills High attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines by tracking project hours, job progress, and timesheets Reliable, dependable, and consistent with jobsite schedule Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as projects require Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Adaptable to various work environments Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet Work in tight, confined spaces Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms #J-18808-Ljbffr
