Role Description The Estimator is a full-time, hybrid role, responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for glass projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, requesting and analyzing vendor and subcontractor quotes, and developing detailed bids and proposals. The sales team to clarify scope, assess risks, and ensure estimates align with project requirements and company standards. This role also involves maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing trends, and participating in bid reviews and negotiations. The Estimator is expected to manage multiple estimating assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and supporting overall project planning and budgeting. Qualifications Ability to review construction plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop detailed cost estimates for glass and glazing projects. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and basic construction math, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, FPA building codes, and industry standards relevant to commercial and residential projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple bids, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients. Ability to work hybrid with scheduled trips to Fort Myers, FL. Experience in construction estimating, preferably glass, or related trades; prior field or project coordination experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
