RN Step Down

Job Title: RN Step Down

Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: Current RN license required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Must-Have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a step down or similar unit.
• Experience with HFNC and BIPAP.
• Proficient in stable GTT management.
• Experience with post-operative care for CABG, AVR, and MVR.
• Background in cardiovascular and vascular care.
• Experience with AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA, NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, and pacers.
• Experience managing patients with sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, or post-DKA.
• Ability to handle respiratory failure and tracheostomy care.

Description: This is a 30-bed step down unit. The unit floats between critical care service lines. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of cardiovascular conditions and treatments. The ideal candidate should be skilled in monitoring and assessing patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of patient care is required.
