Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Job Description

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role supports daily operations by guaranteeing materials are received, stored, picked, packed, and delivered to the appropriate locations in a timely manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials and products.
• Accurately pick, pack, stage, and transport materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using manual methods or material handling equipment.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers (as trained and certified).
• Maintain accurate inventory records through manual counts, cycle counts, and inventory systems.
• Label, sort, and store materials according to established procedures.
• Prepare materials for shipment and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and safety standards.
• Identify damaged or non-conforming materials and report issues to supervision.
• Perform other warehouse or material handling duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred but not always required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• 1+ years minimum warehouse and production experience in a metals facility or manufacturing-related facility.

Work Environment

This position is typically located in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed at all times. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the company. Shifts are structured as 1st shift: 6am-2pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift: 10pm-6am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wichita,KS.
