Business Immigration Associate (2 Years)

Business Immigration Associate Fragomen is looking for a Business Immigration Associate to support our immigration practice. The role involves working with a diverse, motivated peer group and utilizing advanced technology to deliver client services. Responsibilities Develop an expert-level understanding of your client base, industries, and the firm’s practice areas. Develop case strategies, including researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients and triaging initiations. Identify and solve escalations and areas of underperformance; communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural issues and case strategy. Support clients in immigration program management and compliance; assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non‑immigrant and immigrant visa status. Prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies; draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on established precedents. Conduct research to support client requests and projects; proactively communicate within SLAs/team protocols and provide timely responses. Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects. Supervise junior Associates and other staff, providing mentoring and coaching while sharing immigration knowledge. Seek and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes, products, or services. Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols; contribute to firmwide activities and ensure compliance with documented standards and policy. Qualifications U.S. JD or LLM required. Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington, DC bar association. 2–3 years of experience at the Associate level. Expanded practical understanding of immigration law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to proofread documents and draft fluent prose without the aid of AI engines. Dedication to exceptional client service; demonstrated attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands.
