Sales Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and personable Sales Assistant to support daily sales activities and help customers make informed purchasing decisions. This position involves working directly with customers introducing available products and services and assisting with the steps involved in completing a sale.

The Sales Assistant will contribute to an organized and productive sales environment by preparing product information supporting promotional activities and providing attentive assistance to prospective customers. The ideal candidate is confident in conversation enjoys learning about different offerings and can balance customer engagement with routine sales support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Approach and welcome prospective customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Learn about customer interests and identify relevant products or services.

Introduce available offerings and explain their primary features and benefits.

Assist customers with comparing product selections and available packages.

Provide accurate information regarding pricing promotional offers and purchasing terms.

Support product demonstrations and individual sales presentations.

Answer questions and address routine concerns during the purchasing process.

Help customers understand the steps required to complete a purchase or enrollment.

Assist with preparing sales forms order details and related customer documentation.

Verify customer information for accuracy when completing sales-related requests.

Support sales team members with ongoing customer interactions and inquiries.

Maintain familiarity with current products promotional campaigns and sales procedures.

Assist with organizing product materials displays and customer information resources.

Keep promotional materials and sales presentation areas orderly and accessible.

Help identify customers who may benefit from additional product information.

Communicate common customer questions and purchasing preferences to colleagues.

Maintain accurate records of assigned sales activities when required.

Participate in product briefings and scheduled sales team meetings.

Follow company procedures for customer communication and sales documentation.

Complete additional sales assistance and customer-related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or 12 years of experience in sales customer service business hospitality or a related field.

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable initiating conversations and assisting prospective customers.

Ability to explain product features service benefits and purchasing options clearly.

Strong listening skills and ability to understand customer preferences.

Friendly confident and professional communication style.

Ability to maintain attention to detail when handling sales information.

Strong organization and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Comfortable learning new products services and promotional offers.
