How You'll Contribute Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings. Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow. Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Certifications AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Handle with Care certification preferred. The hospital's 13-bay Emergency Department treats more than 15,000 patients annually. As a Patient Sitter , you play an important role in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and support during their stay. You'll work closely with the healthcare team, provide one-on-one observation when needed, and help create a positive experience for patients and their families.
