Duties Assemble, test, inspect, and repair medical instruments, components, assemblies, and prototypes Assist in the development and review of manufacturing documentation for new medical instruments, device prototypes including work instructions, test plans, and test procedures Read schematics, mechanical drawings, and work instructions to ensure proper assembly and testing of medical instruments and device prototypes Perform root cause failure investigations on medical instruments, device products and prototypes Record test data and generate test reports Requirements Experience Required: 3+ years of assembly/test experience with medical instruments, devices and prototypes Assembling of miniature optical, optomechanical and electronic assemblies under microscope Low temperature soldering under microscope of miniature wires and components ( Work with different tools and fixtures to alter and assemble prototypes of medical instruments (Dremel, polishing machines, razor knifes, etc.) Work with multiple adhesives, including thermal and UV cured Experience working with mechanical and electrical assembly equipment such as PCB soldering stations, wire cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, and other small hand tools Experience working with test equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, lab power supplies, etc. is a plus Laser/optical system assembly and alignment experience is a plus Proficient in MS Office with a focus on Word and Excel Education Required: High school diploma is required Associates of Science degree in engineering or technical discipline is preferred Personal Requirements: Must be proficient in English Detail oriented with close attention to detail and ability to follow through Works well in a team environment and as an individual contributor Able to adapt to the changing needs of the Engineering Group Location(s) 225 Cedar Hill Street, Marlborough , Massachusetts 01752 , United States Employment Type Non-Exempt Wage Information MA: $26.46 - $30.76 US Benefits Information Pay Range : The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified.
