Compensation Pay Package: Please reach out for further discussion and negotiation. Regular Pay: $26/hr Weekly Stipend: $996.8/wk Weekly Gross Pay: $2,036.8/wk (subject to completion of 40 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Shift: Nights (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday–Monday)
• Scheduled Hours: 40 hrs/Week
• Facility: Northside Hospital Cherokee
• Department: Clinical Laboratory
• Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule
• Contract Type: Travel Assignment
• On-Call: No
• Negotiations: Permitted
• Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance protocols.
• Document and report test results accurately within the laboratory information system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain laboratory records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist experience within the specialty.
• Experience working in a Clinical Laboratory setting required.
• Cerner experience required/preferred.
• Active certification through one of the following:
• ASCP
• AMT
• AAB
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen processing, quality control, and instrumentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must meet facility requirements for travel assignments.
• Travel candidates only (No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility)
