Furniture Receiving and Assembly Associate

Location San Marcos, TX. Base Pay $17 per hour. Hours 20 hours per week. Store hours: Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 8 pm; Sunday: 11 am – 7 pm. Manage and monitor stock levels, merchandise adjacencies, presentations, signing, and assortment across departments, maintaining visual standards per Wayfair and Tanger Outlets. Support customer fulfillment across all channels, including order pick‑up and incoming inventory. Maintain visual standards, replenishment, safety, and backroom standards. Participate in operational aspects: processing new products, floor sets, replenishment, substitutions, and general store upkeep. Exemplify a positive and professional attitude with customers and teammates. Share innovative ideas and solutions to improve team operations. Engage in a high‑energy, dynamic work environment. Assist with furniture delivery to customers’ vehicles. Requirements At least 1 year of stock receiving experience; retail and/or customer service preferred. Positive attitude and passion for excellent customer service. Strong organization, self‑motivation, communication, and relationship‑management skills. Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment. Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications. All employees expected to represent the brand through polished communication, personal appearance, and professionalism. Employment contingent upon successful background check. Technical acumen to learn necessary software (Google and Microsoft Office) to manage inventory and price items. Ability to process information and merchandise through a computer system and POS register system. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, talk, and hear frequently; handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit; regularly climb or balance; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering product 150+ pounds unassisted or via team lift. Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
