The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.You will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cost accounting, general ledger, fixed assets, audit, etc.).Direct and supervise a large team of people, by proactively managing and coaching the team to provide employee development opportunities.Manage and deliver timely the monthly financial close process to include: a) preparation and/or review of journal entries, b) assurance that all costs incurred are properly recorded, and c) completeness of account reconciliations.Oversee variance analysis and review expenses by financial statement line item for reasonability, investigate unusual amounts, make any corrections as necessary, and determine root cause and solutions.Interact at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting. May include revenue recognition and lease accounting.Participate in the ongoing development & establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies to include the review and implementation of process and system changes.Drive continuous process improvements leveraging digital technology, and support the development and enhancement of the ERP platform to ensure systems integrity, financial effectiveness and controls.Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Define and maintain department KPI’s.Ensure compliance with internal control policies.Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns.Performs other duties and corporate finance projects as assigned by Finance Director.Special Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Competencies Required:Relevant accounting experience in Manufacturing.Apply GAAP accounting standards related to revenue recognition, lease accounting and asset capitalization.Experience with accounting software JDE / QAD or similar ERP platform is a plus.Ability to quickly comprehend a complex organizational structure, including the general ledger structure and various financial systems, is essential.Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiency and improve accuracyAdvanced analytical skills in combination with excellent written and oral communication skills.Exceptionally well organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Excel.Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, work independently and with minimal direction.High energy, high ownership of work products and dedication and commitment to driving results.“Roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferredMinimum of 6+ years of relevant experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environmentExperience managing financial audits and working with external auditorsFamiliarity with SOX 404 control requirements is a plusStrong background in Cost Accounting is highly desirableExperience in financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, capital budgeting, long‑term strategic planning, and resource allocationProven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, competing prioritiesDemonstrates the highest level of professional and ethical standardsEffective leader, people manager, and team builder with a track record of developing talentEnergetic, dedicated, and enthusiastic team player with a strong commitment to organizational success#LI-AL1Join us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
