Medical Technologist (MT/MLT/MLS)

Shift: Nights | Type: Full-Time | Role: Generalist

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our night shift team. In this role, you will independently manage a diverse range of laboratory tests and analyses with minimal supervision. Your expertise will be crucial in problem-solving, quality control, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of blood and bodily fluids using advanced laboratory equipment.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites.
• Measure drug levels or other chemicals in the blood to ensure medications are at therapeutic levels.
• Analyze blood for deficiencies in nutrients or excesses of cholesterol or blood sugars.
• Utilize cell counters, cultures, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited 2-year MLT program or a 4-year Laboratory Science program (MLS, MT, CLS).
• ASCP Certification or eligibility for certification as MLT/MLS/MT (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Basic understanding of scientific laboratory procedures, laboratory equipment, and report generation.
• Preferred knowledge in critical areas including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology.
