Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to provide surgical patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates will assess, monitor, and coordinate perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients prior to surgery to determine their physical and emotional readiness.
• Create and maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections during procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout the perioperative period.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to plan and implement patient care plans.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system, including EPIC, for all patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse license and current certifications (BLS, ACLS).
• At least 2 years of OR nursing experience, including vascular and orthopedic surgery.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and surgical procedures.
• Active operating room circulating and scrub experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation required for travel.
