Our team enjoys a positive culture in which people are empowered and supported, resulting in the company earning Great Place to Work® recognition for five consecutive years.The Geotechnical Engineer is a consultative engineering role supporting customers by providing technical guidance, developing takeoffs and material quotes, and identifying value engineering opportunities for helical pile and anchor applications on a wide range of foundation projects. This person will work directly with both contractors and design engineers to translate geotechnical data and construction realities into practical, buildable solutions.This position is ideal for an engineer with strong foundation or soils experience and who excels at problem solving, relationship building, and thinking beyond rigid design boundaries.Key responsibilities of the Geotechnical Engineer include but are not limited to:Provide engineering support and technical guidance to engineers and contractorsPerform take-offs and material quotes for contractorsTrack and follow up on projectsCultivate engagement with the engineering community through involvement in groups and technical committeesCollaborate with sales to proactively identify value engineering opportunities where helical piles/anchors are a viable alternativePrepare material submittal packages for customersIdentify and follow up with potential customers visiting the websitePrioritize tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectationsEngage in continuous learning to become an internal and external subject matter expertQualifications include:BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural engineering or its demonstrated equivalentEIT or PE certification preferred but not required5+ years Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural experienceAbility to prepare and review standard engineering documentationComputer proficiency (including Microsoft Office, basic CAD)Strong written and oral communication skills and an active listenerProven ability to build and strengthen relationships and a demonstrated strength in customer serviceAbility to collaborate with a team as well as work independentlyHigh emotional intelligenceAble to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently while demonstrating patience and empathyHard worker, self starter, and curiousA positive, solution-oriented attitude and mindsetHighly organized and attentive to detailsCompany Core Values:How we serve: Go the extra mile.How we treat others: Start with empathy.How we communicate: Be a straight shooter.How we grow: Hone your craft and be generous with it.Compensation and Benefits:Excellent base pay (based on experience)Covers Medical Insurance 100% personal + 50% dependentsDental & Vision Insurance options11 Paid HolidaysWellness & Vacation DaysSimple IRA with company match up to 3%Work/Life BalanceThis company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, or any other category protected under applicable law.
