As a Crew Lead, Tree Care Specialist with SavATree, you will be a key member of the General Tree Care Team, responsible for performing high-quality tree care services including pruning, removals, and cabling. You will apply your expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure the health and beauty of clients landscapes, with additional leadership responsibilities.

What Youll Do

• Perform high-quality tree care services, including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using proper techniques, ropes, saddle, and ladders.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts (bucket trucks), and other essential tree care equipment.
• Apply ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety practices in all tasks.
• Assist in tree removals, utilizing ropes and spikes for safe takedowns as needed.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job.
• Perform aerial rescues if necessary, ensuring safety in high-risk situations.
• Maintain strong communication with team members and clients for excellent service.

What Were Looking For

• Valid U.S. drivers license (CDL is preferred).
• Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
• Proficiency in proper pruning techniques for large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Strong knowledge of tree and shrub species, including their characteristics.
• Comfortable climbing without spurs and applying various climbing techniques.
• Skilled in adhering to ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety guidelines.
• Experience operating chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other essential tree care equipment.
• Expertise in proper pruning cuts, branch collars, and chainsaw operations for trees up to 50 feet.
• Ability to perform aerial rescues and identify hazards.
• Capable of frequently lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely perform climbing and aerial work in varying outdoor conditions.
