Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position offers an excellent opportunity for RNs who are passionate about cardiac care and have the skills to manage complex procedures.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS

Shift Information

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0630 - 1500
• On-call requirement: Approximately 10-11 days per month, including one weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and monitor cardiac procedures
• Participate in electrophysiology cases, including ICD implantations, pacemakers, and ablations
• Provide care for cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patients
• Assist in patient assessments and coordinate care within the Cath Lab setting
• Work collaboratively with scrub techs and ensure all staff are cross-trained for case monitoring
• Complete three days of orientation, leading to independent case management

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo three days of orientation, during which they will be introduced to unit protocols and procedures. Expected to manage cases independently by the end of their orientation week.

Work Environment

The Cardiac Cath Lab features four labs, with three typically in use. The lab is equipped with a GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System. The environment is fast-paced, and team members are expected to collaborate effectively to ensure high-quality patient care.
