Shop Hand | $17+/hr DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Shop Hand for a local company in the Shawnee area. This is a hands-on position for someone with welding and general shop experience who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay & Schedule

Starting at $17/hr+
Pay based on experience (DOE)
Full-time position
Monday-Friday (hours vary by shop needs)

Job Responsibilities

Assist with general shop operations and fabrication work
Support welders and other shop personnel with daily tasks
Perform basic welding and metal preparation work as needed
Cut, grind, and prepare materials for production
Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Qualifications

Previous welding or shop experience required
Basic knowledge of tools, fabrication, and metalwork
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Willingness to learn and take direction
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive physical work
Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, heat, and metalwork conditions
