Job Summary:
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Care Technician for our Emergency Department located within the Covington Hospital. Shift/Hours: Part Time 20 hours/week 3P-1A with one 7A-7P weekend shift everything 3rd weekendJob Description:
The Clinical Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care to support a unit or facility as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Participates as a member of the patient care delivery team by collection of basic laboratory specimens and two hour troponins collects legal alcohol specimens performs EKGs and 2 hour EKGs with troponins assists with lifting and transporting performs vital signs clean and bandage wounds splinting to fractures and other duties as delegated by the nursing staff within scope of training.
Transport patients to testing.
Perform CPR on full arrests as members of the code team.
Follows all policies and procedures in the collection of laboratory samples and in the performance of EKGs in an accurate and timely fashion.
Assists nursing staff in addressing patient care needs rounding frequently and ensuring that environment is conducive to care.
Education Credentials Licenses:
Highschool Diploma / GED
BLS Certification
Specialized Knowledge:
Ability to perform such tasks as vital signs
Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics
