Food Service Supervisor – University of Kentucky Campus

Location: University of Kentucky – Lexington, KY
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Multiple Shifts Available
Pay: $23.00/hour

Snelling Staffing is hiring experienced Food Service Supervisors for dining operations throughout the University of Kentucky campus.

These are leadership positions for dependable candidates who have experience working in food service, restaurants, hospitality, retail, or similar fast-paced environments and are comfortable helping lead a team.

What You'll Do

Depending on your assigned dining location, responsibilities may include:

• Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to food-service employees

• Assigning tasks and helping ensure appropriate coverage throughout the shift

• Supporting employees during busy meal and service periods

• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and customer-service standards

• Helping ensure food is prepared and served safely and efficiently

• Maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas

• Monitoring compliance with food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures

• Helping train, coach, and support food-service employees

• Addressing routine customer and operational concerns

• Communicating staffing or operational issues to management

• Assisting with food preparation, service, cashiering, stocking, or other duties when needed

• Leading by example and helping maintain a positive, productive work environment

Multiple UK Campus Opportunities

Supervisor opportunities are available at dining locations throughout the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington .

Specific assignments may include cafés, quick-service restaurants, coffee concepts, and other campus food-service operations.

Your specific work location and reporting instructions will be provided based on the position you're matched with.

Available Schedules

We are currently filling both full-time and part-time Supervisor positions , including weekday and weekend opportunities.

Candidates with flexible availability may have additional options, but we encourage experienced supervisors to apply even if you have specific scheduling needs.

What We're Looking For

• Previous supervisory, team-lead, restaurant, food-service, hospitality, or retail leadership experience strongly preferred

• Strong communication and customer-service skills

• Ability to provide direction and support to employees

• Comfortable making decisions and solving routine problems during a shift

• Dependable, professional, and punctual

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Willingness to work alongside the team when needed

• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift

• Reliable transportation to the University of Kentucky campus

Previous experience as a Food Service Supervisor, Shift Leader, Restaurant Supervisor, Team Lead, Assistant Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Café Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager may be a strong fit for these opportunities.
