Security Officer Supervisor

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking an experienced Armed Field Training Officer to mentor newly hired officers, reinforce operational standards, and promote consistent service quality across assigned client locations. This position combines field leadership with hands-on coaching by helping officers build confidence, understand post expectations, and perform their responsibilities safely and professionally.

The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional who enjoys developing others, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting both employees and management through ongoing field training.

Key Responsibilities

Field Training & Employee Development

• Train newly hired and existing Security Officers at assigned client locations.
• Demonstrate daily responsibilities, post procedures, and company expectations through hands-on instruction.
• Assist with field orientation and onboarding activities for new personnel.
• Reinforce company policies, safety procedures, and client-specific requirements.
• Encourage professional conduct and consistent performance across all assignments.

Coaching & Performance Support

• Observe officer performance during scheduled site visits.
• Provide constructive coaching and practical guidance to improve job performance.
• Identify training opportunities and recommend additional development when needed.
• Answer operational questions and assist employees with understanding post orders.
• Promote a positive learning environment built on professionalism and accountability.

Site Evaluations

• Visit assigned client locations to review operational effectiveness.
• Evaluate compliance with post orders, security procedures, and company standards.
• Monitor overall site conditions and identify areas requiring corrective action.
• Report observations, recommendations, and concerns to supervisors and management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple accounts.

Communication & Documentation

• Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding employee progress.
• Complete accurate training documentation and field evaluation reports.
• Document coaching sessions, operational concerns, and follow-up recommendations.
• Assist management with maintaining consistent training records.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Security Guard Card required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel between assigned client sites.
• Personally owned firearm meeting company and applicable legal requirements.
• Previous professional security experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overnight assignments when operationally required.
• Ability to successfully pass all required background screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience serving as a Field Training Officer, Lead Officer, Supervisor, or Trainer.
• Armed security certification and prior armed security experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring security personnel.
• Knowledge of report writing, incident documentation, and security procedures.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple site visits and competing priorities.

Work Environment

• Frequent travel between multiple client locations.
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments.
• Regular walking, standing, and conducting field observations.
• Interaction with officers, supervisors, clients, and management throughout the workday.
• Flexible schedule supporting operational and training needs.
