Ultrasound Technologist (Breast)

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Type: Contract | 6 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Breast Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment in The Woodlands, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in breast imaging, breast interventional procedures, and patient-centered care within a fast-paced clinical environment.

This role requires proficiency in breast ultrasound examinations, ultrasound-guided biopsies, wire localizations, SAVI Scout placements, and Epic EMR documentation.

• Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound examinations.

• Assist radiologists and physicians with breast interventional procedures.

• Perform ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.

• Conduct wire localization (Wire Loc) procedures.

• Assist with SAVI Scout placement procedures.

• Ensure accurate image acquisition, quality control, and documentation.

• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures.

• Document patient information, imaging findings, and procedure details in Epic EMR.

• Follow departmental protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.

• Minimum 2 years of Breast Ultrasound experience.

• Experience performing breast ultrasound examinations.

• Experience with Wire Localizations (Wire Locs).

• Experience with SAVI Scout Placements.

• Experience performing Breast Biopsies.

• Experience using Epic EMR.

• Strong knowledge of breast imaging protocols and patient care standards.

• Strong communication and patient care skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• ARDMS Certification required/preferred per facility guidelines.

• Active Ultrasound Technologist credentials as required by state and facility regulations.

• Current BLS Certification if required by facility guidelines.

• Hospital-based Breast Imaging Department experience.

• Experience supporting radiologists during breast intervention procedures.

• Advanced breast imaging and procedural experience.
