Job Summary

Operates the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. The main responsibility is to support the physiological and metabolic needs of the cardiac surgical patient.

Reporting Structure

Reports to Director/Perfusion. Supervises none.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Perfusion from an accredited perfusion program.

• Minimum Experience: Two (2) years as a certified clinical perfusionist.
• Preferred: Three (3) or more years experience.

Certification though the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
