Application Engineers must possess excellent customer service skills and ensure that orders are entered accurately, in a timely manner, and achieve proper margin.Compensation & Benefits$70K – 75K based on experience. Also availableShort & Long Term Disability, AccidentProgressive Vacation Policy based on tenure401(K), Laptop , and Cell Phone AllowanceWhat You'll DoProvide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customersWork closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirementsEvaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, & other pertinent dataPrepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirementsAid in the design & development of equipment & systems, & redesign of existing systemsFacilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints & failuresMaintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders & assist sales with project related questionsWhat We're Looking ForMust Have:3-5 years of applicable experience, Mechanical or Process Engineer preferredKnowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment & pumping systemsMust be able to work independently to achieve targeted resultsWell-organized & self-motivatedExcellent interpersonal and effective communication skillsEffective negotiating skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related experienceAbout General Machinery CompanyFounded in 1908, General Machinery Company is one of the oldest industrial distributors in the United States — and after more than 115 years, we're still growing.
