Make a real impact with young learners as a speech-language pathologist, supporting pre-kindergarten children in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work part-time (20+ hours per week) with a manageable caseload and potential for growth as new referrals are identified.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Active SLP license (State of Maine) in good standing
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience in a school setting, especially with early childhood or pre-k populations, strongly preferred
• Skilled in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and delivering direct therapy
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to pre-k students, with most students scheduled for approximately 90 minutes per week
• Work currently with 2 identified students; additional referrals (currently 9) and further caseload growth expected
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress and meet IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and participate in the referral process for new students
• Maintain detailed records and progress notes in compliance with school and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and team collaborations as needed
