ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) , you will be at the heart of patient care, supporting individuals with a variety of medical conditions and surgical needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an RN who thrives in a fast paced clinical environment, enjoys variety, and combines strong clinical judgment with compassionate care.

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective, and patient centered care throughout the patient journey.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other interventions as ordered
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, diagnostic findings, and patient responses to treatment
• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly and appropriately
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards
• Advocate for patient dignity, comfort, safety, and positive outcomes

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Active multistate compact RN license with authority to practice in South Carolina
• Med Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification may be required based on the assignment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care needs
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced healthcare environment
• Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to Rock Hill, South Carolina
