IT Category Manager

Owning the commercial strategy for defined IT spend categories, the full-time remote IT Category Manager will lead vendor negotiations, competitive sourcing events, and category planning across software, SaaS, cloud, and telecom services. Key responsibilities Manage category strategy and renewal pipeline for assigned IT spend areas, ensuring timely execution and vendor alignment Lead competitive sourcing events and negotiate directly with vendors on pricing, terms, and service agreements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies and maintain comprehensive market intelligence Required qualifications 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, particularly in IT or technology services Proven ability to negotiate effectively and develop leverage-based strategies for vendor engagements Strong spend and data analysis skills, with experience in total cost of ownership modeling Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; familiarity with BI or spend analytics tools is a plus Organized and systems-minded with experience using procurement management platforms
