Job Title: Mechanical Designer Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to create and update 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings. The ideal candidate will support product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimization initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• Support product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimization initiatives.

• Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation of new products and features.
• Troubleshoot design issues and support root cause analysis activities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, and PDM systems.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with internship or co-op experience highly valued.
• Experience with electro-mechanical, structural, and industrial design.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, plastics, and assembly.

Work Environment

The Mechanical Designer will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. The role requires proficiency in engineering software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and PDM systems. The work involves design reviews, testing, and validation activities, often requiring attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manitowoc, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
