A bout the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnologist (Histotech) to join a high-volume hospital-based pathology laboratory. This role supports diagnostic services by preparing high-quality tissue specimens for microscopic examination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for routine and special histology procedures

• Perform embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping

• Ensure proper fixation, processing, and handling of specimens

• Maintain quality control and ensure accuracy of all histology work

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment

• Follow laboratory safety, compliance, and regulatory standards

• Document procedures and results accurately

• Collaborate with pathologists, lab staff, and clinical teams

• Maintain organized workflow to meet turnaround time expectations

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology or related field

• HT or HTL certification (ASCP) preferred

• Prior experience in a clinical or hospital histology lab preferred

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
