Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology)

Location

Spokane, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends required every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a focus on neurology patients, including post-surgical neurology cases and varied neurology diagnoses
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Float between units within the facility as operationally needed
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in holiday coverage, committing to 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology nursing experience required, including comfort with NIH scale and post-surgical neurology patient care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must commit to all requested time off and scheduling needs upfront at time of submission — post-submission RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience caring for a diverse neurology patient population across multiple diagnoses
