Job Title: Packaging Operator

Location: Ringwood, IL (Onsite)
Shift: 2:40 PM – 11:00 PM
Contract: Through January 27, 2027 (Possible Extension)

 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Operator to join a leading chemical manufacturing team in Ringwood, IL. This role involves safely packaging chemical products, operating packaging equipment, completing production documentation, and supporting daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Package chemical products into drums, totes, and pails following established procedures.
• Repack and relabel chemical products as needed.
• Operate automated and manual packaging/process equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Perform light equipment maintenance and prepare equipment for repairs.
• Complete batch documentation and production reporting in SAP.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Work overtime and rotating shifts as business needs require.

 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or chemical production environment.
• Experience handling hazardous or flammable chemicals.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable wearing required PPE, including a full-face respirator (clean-shaven requirement).
• SAP experience is a plus.
