Load Handling Specialist

Job Title

Job duties include:

• Preparing and updating the Nashville District's LHE program guidance documents to ensure compliance with HQ USACE and industry LHE standards and regulations.
• Obtaining and maintaining certification as a "train the trainer" for LHE operator certifications to test and certify LHE operators within the District.
• Ensuring mandatory training is kept up to date for each operator, rigger, or signal person.
• Maintaining records for operator certifications and physical examinations as required.
• Performing and overseeing the annual inspection of all Load Handling Equipment within the Nashville District and verifying that inspection results are documented in the Facilities Equipment Management System (FEM).
• Overseeing and spot checking the record-keeping of documentation for LHE equipment inspections, load testing, start-up/monthly/annual inspections of the LHE within the Nashville District.
• Ensuring that critical maintenance is accomplished on the District's LHE and verifying that the maintenance is documented in FEM.
• Supporting projects as required in regards to LHE maintenance, purchase, repair, and testing.
