Laboratory Manager

Burnett Medical Center Inc seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead daily operations of a busy hospital lab supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care. The manager oversees staff scheduling, training, and performance; ensures accurate, timely testing; and maintains quality control, CLIA and CAP compliance, and equipment calibration. This role collaborates with providers and nursing to support patient care, manages inventory and vendor relationships, and monitors key lab metrics. The Laboratory Manager also supports policy development, process improvement, and staff education in a patient-centered, community-focused environment. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory Supervise, schedule, and evaluate laboratory staff Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all diagnostic testing Maintain CLIA, CAP, and regulatory compliance and documentation Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs Manage lab budget, supplies, and vendor relationships Coordinate with providers and nursing to support patient care needs Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation Develop and update laboratory policies, procedures, and workflows Lead process improvement and staff education initiatives Required Skills Clinical laboratory testing Quality control and quality assurance CLIA and CAP regulatory compliance Laboratory information systems (LIS) Staff supervision and scheduling Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Budgeting and inventory management Data analysis and lab performance metrics Policy and procedure development Process improvement and Lean principles #J-18808-Ljbffr Burnett Medical Center Inc
