Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 - 21:00 Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: 5+ years in Emergency Department License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC Must-Have Skills/Experience: - 5 years or more of experience in the Emergency Department - Professional, positive, compassionate demeanor - Team player attitude Description: The position requires backfill for experienced emergency department nurses. Candidates with both ICU and emergency department experience are considered. The facility is a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive services. It includes 24-hour emergency department services and specialized centers for chest pain and primary stroke care. The emergency department consists of 31 beds and 2 triage rooms. 7 of the 31 beds are designated for behavioral health or acute patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:4, with exceptions on high-volume days. Supervising the unit is the Director of Emergency Services. The patient population served includes all ages.
