Job Opportunity

This position is within a Resource Float Pool that provides essential support across two hospital campuses. The role requires experience in a Level I Trauma facility and large hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between BUMC-Tucson (Level I Trauma, 625 beds) and BUMC-South (Level III Trauma, 245 beds) to provide nursing support as needed.
• Care for patients across various adult health units, including Observation, Medical-Surgical, Progressive Care Units (PCU), and Intermediate Care Units (IMC).
• Respond to staffing needs in different units based on patient care demands.
• Occasionally provide care in the Emergency Department (ED) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for adult patients awaiting bed assignments.

Unit Information

The BUMC-Tucson campus offers a diverse range of adult health units, with a total of 11 units available for patient care, including:

• 2 Observation units
• 4 Medical-Surgical units
• PCU and IMC units

The BUMC-South campus features:

• 1 Observation unit
• 2 Progressive Care Units (PCUs)
• 1 Medical-Surgical unit

Qualifications
