Quality Inspector

Job Details Job Location: Wichita, KS 67203 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: QA - Quality Control Summary The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements. Responsibilities Inspect products, such as forgings, bars, sheets, castings, and strips, for conformity to customer specifications. Use measuring instruments to examine products for flatness, straightness, and defects, such as cracks, slivers, or scars. Mark defective areas with chalk or paint. Verify dimensions of product, using micrometers, gauges, tapes, and templates. Conduct hardness tests, using hardness testing machines. Reject products not meeting specifications. Prepare reports covering materials scrapped or salvaged. Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts. Accepts and adapts easily to change. Ensures that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement. Operates job-related equipment with or without an accommodation. Meets physical demands of job with or without an accommodation. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 2+ years of previous experience required; aircraft parts inspection preferred. Knowledge of AS9100 Rev C preferred. High School diploma or GED preferred. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Proficient with basic shop math. Sense of urgency.
