Web Engineer

Senior Web EngineerThe Senior Web Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for developing, maintaining, and integrating DO Supply's web applications – including ERP, CRM, microservices, and websites. They should be an experienced full-stack developer with a strong understanding of data flow and API-driven development.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesWeb DevelopmentDevelop and maintain e-commerce and lead-gen websites.Maintain compatibility and integration with internal systems and third-party dependencies.Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams on technical enhancements.Follow and enforce best practices for security, reliability, and performance.Collaboration & Technical ExcellenceWork closely with the Director of Technology & Innovation and other developers to align software initiatives with company goals.Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.Document technical processes, system architectures, and development standards.Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.MetricsSuccessful and timely completion of assigned development projects.Reliability and uptime of deployed applications and integrations.Reduction in bugs, errors, and post-deployment issues.Adherence to development standards, testing procedures, and documentation accuracy.Collaboration effectiveness and contribution to team goals.QualificationsRequiredStrong problem-solving and communication skillsStrong experience with object-oriented programming and MVC patternsStrong experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScriptStrong experience with MySQL or other relational databasesStrong experience with best security practices (such as validation)Experience with Svelte and NestJSExperience with SSR frameworks (such as Next.js or SvelteKit)Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or BullMQExperience with Docker for local and production environmentsExperience with Git and version control workflowsAbility to work effectively with little to no supervisionPreferred5+ years of professional web development experienceExperience with PHP and WordPressExperience with ASP.NET, Laravel, React, Vue, or AngularExperience with RESTful API design and integrationExperience with Figma and other design toolsFamiliarity with developing and consuming microservices (REST and gRPC)Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testingEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.Physical DemandsContinuous sitting due to computer usage for extended periods.
