Location: Kansas City, MO Compensation: Paid per fitting assignment. Position Overview The ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) conducts patient fittings and training in support of the sales organization and Regional Clinical Advisors. The APS serves as the local patient care representative, ensuring effective and efficient patient fittings. Essential Duties Act as an ASSURE® Patient Specialist, fitting and training local patients with a wearable defibrillator. Provide instruction and instill confidence in patients. Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule services. Accept assignments that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Travel to hospitals, patients’ homes, and other healthcare facilities to provide fitting services. Measure patients to determine correct garment size. Review and transmit essential paperwork with patients to receive the Assure garment and services. Manage inventory of ASSURE system kits, garments, and electronic equipment. Commitment to life‑long learning. Requirements One year of paid patient‑care experience (not as a family caregiver). Clinical or engineering background (nursing, cardiac device sales, clinical engineering, catheterization lab technician, physician assistant, ECG technician, etc.). Disclosure of personal NPI number if applicable. Completion of a background check; Florida and Ohio candidates must complete a level‑2 screening paid by Kestra. Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from the work order. Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90‑day probationary period. Experience in patient and/or clinician education. Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record. Consistent field work in and around Brownsville, TX; required disclosures for potential relationships and referral sources. Credentialing for hospital entry, including: documentation of vaccinations, background and drug screenings, agreement to hospital policies and procedures, completion of online courses (HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical/Fire Safety). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams. Direct cardiac patient‑care experience – RN, RT, CVIS, paramedic, CRM. Work Environment Minimal noise typical of an office or hospital setting. Possible exposure to infectious disease. Extended hours when needed. Drug‑free environment. Physical Demands Travel by car. Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions (keyboard, mouse). Standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Phone and business machine use. Occasional bending and stooping.
