Field Equipment TechnicianMira Loma Headquarters - Mira Loma, CA 91752OverviewSalary Range $34.00 - $39.00 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionThe Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or service to internal and external customers equipment. The position is primarily responsible for traveling to customer sites, representing the company’s values and ensuring that their equipment is serviced to the standards of Southwest ToyotaLift.ResponsibilitiesThe following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities.Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at management’s discretion.Ability to professionally communicate with customers both in-house and in the field; and build strong relationshipsCapability to trouble shoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptionsDemonstrate knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if parts are needing to be replaced or repairedRepair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forkliftsMake repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening body bolts, aligning wheels, etc.Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck as requiredPerform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipmentCommunicate effectively with supervisors and escalate issues as neededComplete paperwork, as needed, to open work orders / close work orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure appropriate processing and billingKeep van clean. Report any vehicle problems to your supervisor.Practice safe work habitsQualificationsHigh school graduateThree to five years forklift/material handling technician experienceExcellent driving record (as shown on current DMV report)Ability to drive company vehicle to customer sites.Ability to communicate clearly verbally and writtenCustomer service attitude and aptitudeExpected to attend technical classes when offered by managementAppearance must be neat and professionalPhysical RequirementsMust be physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular basisMust be able to physically operate power machinery, use hand tools, use air compressor tools, band saw and department grinder, steam cleaner and parts washer machines,Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds unaidedMust be physically able to operate / drive a company
